Tell me whats the importance of this place/ what happened here 63 years ago...that changed the way we "transact"?

Answer: The first place to start accepting credit cards.

  1. Majors Cabin Grill opened in the 1930s adjacent to the Empire State Building in New York City. It holds the distinction of being the first restaurant to accept a Diners Club card in 1950. At the time, the card was cardboard.
